What We Do.

Act Ready specializes in one-to-one coaching sessions for young people focusing on developing a specific piece of work. Whether it is for an audition for Drama School, working on self-tapes, or just to feel more confident stepping into a room with other actors, we want to give these young people the tools to do their best every time they act.

Meet Your Coach

Hi, I'm Dom and I created ActReady because I know how difficult it can be to access high-quality acting guidance when you're starting out.

As an actor and theatre-maker, I've experienced auditions, training environments and professional productions first-hand. My goal is to create a supportive space where young performers can develop their confidence, strengthen their craft and feel prepared for the opportunities ahead.

Growing up

Growing up I didn’t always have the most knowledge when stepping into performance spaces, but I had ambition and determination 2 qualities that were key to my success. Whether you have had years of experience or have never picked up a script before one of the hardest things to learn is the confidence to give each opportunity everything you’ve got.

Training

Studying at the BRIT School laid the foundations for me as a performer and creative, gaining valuable experience and opportunities such as being a backing dancer for Little Simz at the Brit Awards and having my short film played at the BFI. I then went on to train with the National Youth Theatre Rep Company. This gave me industry-led training, allowing me to learn from some of the best Directors, Casting Directors and Producers who are working at the highest level in this country.

Experience

As an actor I have worked across Theatre, Film and Tv performing for the BBC, the Bridge Theatre, The Royal Court and more. I am still a working actor and so understand first-hand what it is like to go through an audition process in the current industry. Alongside my work as an actor, I run an award-winning theatre company, “Disaster Class” and have produced, directed, or performed in all 5 of our productions. I have also worked as a teacher at various Youth Theatre Companies so have experience working specifically with young people.
